Pilot in Command, Citation Latitude (CE-680A) – Super Midsize Jet
Jet Linx, a leader in personalized private aviation, invites applications for the full-time position of Pilot in Command (PIC) for the Cessna Citation Latitude (CE-680A) Super Midsize jet fleet. This highly responsible role supports both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations, maintaining the highest standards of safety and client service.
The position is operationally designated near Teterboro, NJ (TEB), though specific basing infrastructure may involve KILG. Due to the demands of private aviation, the successful candidate must reside, or be willing to relocate, within a strict two-hour call-out radius of the designated home base.
Position Summary and Reporting Structure
The Pilot in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and serves as the ultimate authority during all assigned flight operations. The PIC is charged with the meticulous preparation, management, and execution of company aircraft flights in strict adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures. This role requires exceptional judgment, proactive decision-making, and a steadfast commitment to Jet Linx's core values.
Essential Functions of the Pilot in Command
- Effectively manage flight, duty, and rest requirements in full compliance with both company standards and applicable Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintain continuous and responsive communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position reports, and required pre- and post-flight documentation.
- Responsibly manage and maintain electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and associated aviation applications.
- Ensure that all required navigation charts, aeronautical publications, and company operational manuals are current and readily accessible for all flights.
- Uphold the highest standard of aviation professionalism and convey Jet Linx’s core values in all interactions.
Minimum Experience Requirements (Flight Time)
To be considered for this Captain position, applicants must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3,500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 2,000 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type (Citation Latitude): 250 hours
- Multi-Engine Time: 1,000 hours
- Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 1,000 hours
- Total Turbine PIC Time: 1,000 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 300 hours
- Total Jet Time: 1,500 hours
- Total Jet PIC Time: 500 hours
Additional Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal Pilot in Command candidate possesses the following certifications, licenses, and attributes:
- An Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate (or the immediate ability to obtain an ATP).
- A current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- A current FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States and the ability to obtain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Possession of a current passport and unrestricted ability to travel internationally, including to all EU countries, Canada, and the Caribbean.
- Initial or Recurrent 142 training completed in the Citation Latitude type within the preceding 24 months is highly preferred.
- Ability to pass a mandatory FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review conducted by the System Chief Pilot.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and submission to required random drug and alcohol testing.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the nature of private charter operations.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience is required.
- Physical ability to frequently move and handle equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with the majority of work performed in and around aircraft and airport terminals.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and robust benefits package for team members. The starting base annual salary for this Pilot in Command position ranges from $160,000 to $245,000. The actual base salary provided is dependent upon geographic location, aircraft size and crew position, and the candidate’s relevant education, training, and experience.
