Position Summary
Jet Linx invites applications for a skilled and dedicated Pilot in Command (PIC) for its Midsize jet aircraft fleet, specifically the Citation XLS/XLS+ type. This full-time position is based in Scottsdale, AZ, and requires the successful candidate to live, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out radius of the designated home base. The PIC will report directly to the Base Chief Pilot and is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Jet Linx's rigorous operational procedures for both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations.
Key Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command will be entrusted with a range of critical duties, including but not limited to:
- Managing flight, duty, and rest periods meticulously to ensure adherence to company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Maintaining consistent communication with company operations for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight reports.
- Proficiently managing and maintaining Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications, ensuring operational readiness.
- Verifying the currency and integrity of all necessary navigation charts, aeronautical publications, and company operational manuals.
- Upholding a current First-Class FAA medical certificate.
- Demonstrating exceptional and proactive decision-making skills in all operational scenarios.
- Embodying and promoting Jet Linx's core values in every interaction and operational aspect.
Minimum Flight Experience Requirements
Prospective candidates must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:
- Total Time: 3500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type (Citation XLS/XLS+): 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type (Citation XLS/XLS+): 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 500 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 300 hours
Additional Qualifications and Requirements
- Preferred: Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in the Citation XLS/XLS+ type obtained within the last 24 months.
- Required:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Demonstrated proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Possession of a current, valid passport.
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, or the ability to obtain one.
- Current First-Class FAA Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required by regulations.
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally, specifically to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Capacity to authorize and pass a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational demands require.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Willingness to perform duties primarily in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Physical ability to frequently move and lift up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a highly competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package designed to attract and retain top talent. The starting base annual salary for this Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary will be determined based on various factors, including geographic location, specific aircraft size (and crew position), as well as the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience.
