Jet Linx is actively seeking highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) candidates to operate its Midsize jet aircraft, specifically the Citation XLS, for both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The successful candidate is expected to reside in, or be willing to relocate to, an area within a two-hour call-out radius of the Scottsdale, AZ home base.
Position Summary
The Pilot in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. This critical role encompasses the preparation and execution of safe and efficient company aircraft operations, ensuring strict adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established Jet Linx operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically manages duty, flight, and rest times in full compliance with both company requirements and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintains consistent and clear communication with company operations regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight reports.
- Proficiently maintains and manages Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and all associated applications, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Diligently ensures that all navigation charts, aviation publications, and company manuals are current and readily accessible.
- Continuously holds and maintains a current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Consistently demonstrates strong, proactive, and sound decision-making skills throughout all phases of flight operations.
- Embodies and consistently demonstrates Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions and operational duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- Flight Experience:
- Total Time: 3500 hours
- Total Pilot In Command (PIC) Time: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type (Citation XLS): 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type (Citation XLS): 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 500 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 300 hours
- Certifications & Licenses:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate (or ability to obtain).
- Current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Current passport with unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Valid U.S. driver's license (or ability to obtain).
- Additional Requirements:
- Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is highly preferred.
- Proven eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with random drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Ability to release records for and successfully pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational demands require.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience is required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- The majority of work is conducted in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to frequently move and lift up to 50 pounds.
Compensation & Benefits
Jet Linx offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package designed to attract and retain top-tier aviation professionals. The starting base annual salary for this Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, aircraft size and crew position, and the candidate’s relevant education, training, and experience.
