Position Overview
Jet Linx is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a full-time position based in Miami, FL. The successful candidate will operate midsize jet aircraft, specifically the Lear 60, under both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. This pivotal role demands an unwavering commitment to safety and operational efficiency, with the incumbent reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot. Candidates are expected to reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out radius of the Miami base.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Manages all aspects of duty, flight, and rest periods in strict adherence to company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintains consistent and clear communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position reports, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight documentation.
- Ensures the meticulous maintenance and currency of Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and software applications.
- Verifies that all navigation charts, aviation publications, and company manuals are current and readily accessible for all flights.
- Holds and maintains a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrates exceptional, proactive decision-making capabilities during all phases of flight and ground operations.
- Upholds and embodies the core values of Jet Linx in all professional interactions and conduct.
Required Qualifications
- An FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate (or ability to obtain ATP within a specified timeframe).
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- A minimum of 3,500 hours total flight time.
- A minimum of 2,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
- A minimum of 250 hours total time in type (Lear 60).
- A minimum of 250 hours Pilot in Command time in type (Lear 60).
- A minimum of 1,500 hours multi-engine time.
- A minimum of 500 hours multi-engine Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
- A minimum of 500 hours total turbine time.
- A minimum of 300 hours instrument time.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience.
- Possession of a current U.S. driver's license.
- Holds a current, valid passport with unrestricted ability to travel internationally, including to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with random drug and alcohol testing requirements.
- Willingness to authorize and successfully complete an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational demands require.
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently; work is primarily conducted in and around aircraft and airport terminals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in the Lear 60 type rating completed within the last 24 months.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package for its team members. The starting base annual salary for this Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The final base salary is determined based on various factors, including geographic location, aircraft size/crew position, and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience.
