Pilot in Command – Lear 45/75
Full-Time – Omaha, NE
Jet Linx is seeking qualified Pilot in Command candidates for its Midsize jet aircraft fleet, supporting both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The ideal candidate is expected to reside or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out time of the Omaha home base.
Position Summary
The Pilot in Command (PIC) reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and is responsible for preparing and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and established company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Total Time: 3500 hours
- Total PIC: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type: 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type: 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC: 500 hours
- Total Turbine: 500 hours
- Total Instrument: 300 hours
Essential Functions
- Manages duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with both company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Maintains continuous communication with the company for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position reports, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Maintains and manages electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications effectively.
- Ensures navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily available.
- Maintains a current FAA 1st Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrates strong, proactive decision-making skills.
- Embodies Jet Linx’s core values in all interactions and professional conduct.
Other Requirements
- Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Possession of a current passport with unrestricted travel ability to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Holds or has the ability to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Holds a current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and consent to random drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Ability to authorize and successfully pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Work is primarily conducted in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary for this Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary is determined by factors including geographic location, aircraft size (for crew positions), and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
