Pilot in Command – Lear 45/75
Full-Time – Omaha, NE
Jet Linx is actively seeking highly qualified Pilot in Command candidates for their Midsize jet fleet, specifically the Lear 45/75 aircraft. This full-time position is based in Omaha, NE, and supports both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. Ideal candidates are expected to reside, or be prepared to relocate, within a two-hour call-out radius of their designated home base.
Position Overview
The Pilot in Command (PIC) reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. This role is paramount in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of company aircraft operations. The PIC meticulously prepares for each flight and adheres strictly to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures.

- Total Time: 3500 hours
- Total PIC: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type (Lear 45/75): 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type (Lear 45/75): 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC: 500 hours
- Total Turbine: 500 hours
- Total Instrument: 300 hours
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Manages duty, flight, and rest periods diligently in accordance with both company regulations and CFRs.
- Maintains consistent communication with the company, responding promptly to standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position reports, and conducting pre- and post-flight reporting.
- Ensures the proper maintenance and management of Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and software applications.
- Verifies that all required navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily accessible.
- Holds and maintains a current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrates strong, proactive, and effective decision-making capabilities in all operational scenarios.
- Embodies and upholds Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions.
Additional Requirements
- Initial or Recurrent Part 142 training specifically for the Lear 45/75 type within the preceding 24 months is highly preferred.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States.
- Requires a current, valid passport.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Possession of a 1st Class Medical Certificate is mandatory.
- Requires an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with random drug and alcohol testing protocols as required.
- Must have the unrestricted ability to travel internationally to Canada and Caribbean nations.
- Must successfully complete a review of the FAA Pilot Record Database by a System Chief Pilot.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience is required.
- The role primarily involves working in and around aircraft and aviation terminals.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package for its team members. The starting base annual salary for the Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary offered is determined by factors including the candidate's geographic location, specific aircraft size and crew position, and relevant education, training, and experience.
