Pilot in Command - Midsize Jet
Jet Linx is actively seeking highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command candidates to join its dynamic team, operating midsize jet aircraft under both Part 91 and Part 135 flight regulations. This pivotal role requires a dedicated professional who either currently resides or is willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out radius of their designated home base.
Position Summary
The Pilot in Command holds direct reporting responsibility to the Base Chief Pilot. This role is paramount to ensuring the safe, compliant, and highly efficient operation of company aircraft. The PIC meticulously prepares for all flights and oversees aircraft operations strictly in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and established company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Prospective candidates must meet the following flight hour minimums:
- Total Time: 3500 hours
- Total PIC: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type: 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type: 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC: 500 hours
- Total Turbine: 500 hours
- Total Instrument: 300 hours
Essential Functions
Key responsibilities for the Pilot in Command include:
- Managing duty, flight, and rest periods in strict adherence to both company policy and Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintaining consistent communication with the company for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position reporting, and the submission of pre- and post-flight reports.
- Effectively maintaining and managing electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and associated applications.
- Ensuring the currency of all required navigation charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Holding and maintaining a current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Consistently demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making capabilities.
- Embodying Jet Linx's core values in all professional interactions.
Other Requirements
In addition to minimum flight hours, candidates should possess the following:
- Initial or Recurrent 142 training in the specific aircraft type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- A current, valid passport.
- An Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the ability to obtain one.
- A current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- An FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to authorize and pass a FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- The majority of work is conducted in and around aircraft and airport terminals.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation
Jet Linx provides a competitive compensation structure and comprehensive benefits package for its team members. The starting base annual salary for this Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary offered is contingent upon factors including geographic location, aircraft size (relevant for crew positions), and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience. The robust benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
