Pilot in Command - Lear 60XR

Full-Time - Miami, FL

Jet Linx is actively seeking highly qualified Pilot in Command candidates to operate its Midsize jet aircraft, specifically the Lear 60XR, for Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations based in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate is expected to reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out time of the designated home base.

Position Summary

The Pilot in Command serves as a key member of the flight operations team, reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot. This role is responsible for the diligent preparation and execution of safe and efficient flight operations, ensuring strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures at all times. The PIC operates the aircraft with the highest level of professionalism and safety standards.

Essential Functions

The Pilot in Command performs critical duties including, but not limited to:

Efficiently managing duty, flight, and rest periods in accordance with both company requirements and applicable CFRs.
Maintaining consistent and reliable communication with company operations regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position reporting, and the submission of pre- and post-flight reports.
Proficiently managing and maintaining Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and associated applications to ensure operational readiness.
Verifying that all required navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and accessible for flight planning and execution.
Maintaining a current First Class medical certificate as required by regulations.
Consistently demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making skills under varying operational conditions.
Embodying and promoting Jet Linx's core values in all professional interactions and operational activities.

Minimum Requirements

Qualified candidates must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:

Total Time: 3500 hours
Total PIC Time: 2000 hours
Total Time in Type (Lear 60/60XR): 250 hours
Total PIC Time in Type (Lear 60/60XR): 250 hours
Total Multi-Engine Time: 1500 hours
Total Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
Total Turbine Time: 500 hours
Total Instrument Time: 300 hours

Additional Requirements

Initial or Recurrent 142 training in the Lear 60/60XR type within the last 24 months is highly preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Possession of a current passport permitting international travel.
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
Possession of a current First Class FAA medical certificate.
Possession of a FCC Restricted Radio License.
Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with random drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
Ability to successfully release and pass a FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessitated by flight schedules.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
The majority of work is conducted in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.

Compensation and Benefits

Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package to its team members. The starting base annual salary for this Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary awarded is determined by factors including geographic location, specific aircraft size and crew position, and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
