Pilot in Command – Lear 60XR
Full-Time – Miami, FL
Jet Linx is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Pilot in Command (PIC) operating Midsize jet aircraft, specifically the Lear 60XR. This role supports both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The successful candidate is expected to reside or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out time of the Miami base.
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Pilot in Command is responsible for preparing and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. This includes adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type (Lear 60XR): 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type (Lear 60XR): 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 500 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 300 hours
Essential Functions:
- Manage duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with both company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintain consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Maintain and manage Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications effectively.
- Ensure all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily available.
- Maintain a current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making skills in all operational scenarios.
- Uphold and embody Jet Linx's core values in all interactions.
Other Requirements:
- Initial or Recurrent FAA Part 142 training in the Lear 60XR type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possession of a current passport with unrestricted international travel capability.
- Hold or have the ability to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Hold a current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Possess an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing as required by regulations.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to authorize and pass an FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD) review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
- Work is primarily conducted in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
Compensation:
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary range for this Pilot in Command position is from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary offered is dependent upon factors such as geographic location, aircraft size (relevant to crew positions), and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage.
