Position Overview
Jet Linx is actively seeking highly qualified and experienced Second in Command (SIC) pilots for their heavy jet fleet, specifically the Falcon 900EX and Falcon 900EZ. This full-time position is integral to Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations based out of Minneapolis/Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency, operating company aircraft in strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures. This role reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot.
Candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, the base area to ensure a maximum two-hour call-out time from their home base.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements
- Total Time: 2500 hours
- Total Pilot-in-Command (PIC): 500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine: 500 hours
- Total Turbine: 100 hours
- Total Instrument: 150 hours
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
The Second in Command pilot will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Proactively managing duty, flight, and rest times to ensure compliance with both company regulations and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintaining consistent communication with the company for all operational needs, including standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and timely submission of pre- and post-flight reports.
- Diligently maintaining and managing Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications, ensuring operational readiness.
- Verifying the currency of all navigation charts, aviation publications, and company operational manuals.
- Demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making skills in all operational scenarios.
- Embodying and promoting Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions.
Additional Qualifications and Requirements
Successful candidates will also meet the following criteria:
- Possession of an Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Possession and maintenance of a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Possession of a current, valid passport with unrestricted ability to travel to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and consent to random drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Ability to authorize and successfully pass an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review with the System Chief Pilot.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational demands require.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
- Initial or Recurrent Part 142 training in the Falcon 900EX/EZ type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Physical capability to move up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Comfortable working primarily in and around aircraft and aircraft terminal environments.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary for this Second in Command position ranges from $135,000 to $170,000. The actual base salary provided will be commensurate with geographic location, aircraft size (crew positions), and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience.
