About the Role:
The Captain will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Gulfstream G280 aircraft. Reporting to the Lead Captain, the successful candidate will prioritize safety, security, and quality in all flight operations. They will exercise final authority for the safe conduct of assigned flights, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft in accordance with all federal, local, and company regulations.
- Determine departure times, routes, and make informed decisions regarding flight cancellations based on weather and other factors.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight checks, including weather briefings, NOTAM reviews, and flight plan filing.
- Ensure accurate completion of all trip paperwork and aircraft discrepancy logs.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all aircraft systems, including emergency procedures.
- Conduct or delegate passenger safety briefings and ensure the Second in Command is adequately prepared for their duties.
- Foster a strong safety culture by proactively identifying and reporting hazards and concerns.
- Represent Jet Aviation professionally while interacting with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing flight time.
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land experience.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command experience.
- 1500 hours Turbojet experience.
- 1500 hours Turbine time.
- 100 hours Night flying experience.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument time.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to travel extensively worldwide.
- Valid driver's license.
