Position Summary

Jet Aviation is seeking a Lead Captain for the G500 aircraft based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of flight assignments, serving as Pilot in Command (PIC). The Lead Captain will also contribute to crew development, foster a culture of excellence, and represent Jet Aviation's brand of distinction and leadership in private aviation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all assigned flights, including pre-flight and post-flight inspections, flight plan filing, and weather/route analysis.
  • Mentor and guide crew members, conduct performance reviews, and coordinate schedules and training.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems for precise operation and adaptability.
  • Champion a strong safety culture by adhering to best practices, conducting passenger briefings, and addressing aircraft discrepancies with maintenance teams.
  • Manage trip documentation, aircraft manuals, and assist in crew hiring.
  • Represent Jet Aviation with professionalism in all internal and external interactions.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Five years of aviation experience.
  • 3,500 hours total fixed-wing time.
  • 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command.
  • 1,500 hours Multi-Engine time.
  • 500 hours Turbo-Jet time.
  • 500 hours Turbine time.
  • 100 hours Night time.
  • 75 hours Simulated Instrument time.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule to meet flight mission profiles.
  • Willingness to travel extensively worldwide with no restrictions.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular standing, walking, and sitting.

  • Sharp vision across various ranges and depths.

Work Environment

  • Operate in various environments, from heavy maintenance areas to upscale customer spaces.
  • Experience dynamic aircraft arrival and departure atmospheres, including occasional high noise levels, vibrations, and exposure to fuel fumes.
  • Adapt to changing weather conditions and seasonal temperature extremes in hangar settings.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $315,000 to $340,000. The final salary will be determined based on candidate experience, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
