Position Summary

This leadership role invites aviation professionals to take command of their careers, serving as the ultimate authority for the safe, efficient, and professional execution of flight assignments. The Lead Captain is entrusted with the responsibility of embodying Jet Aviation's core values, acting as Pilot in Command (PIC) to uphold the highest standards of safety, security, and quality. What We're Looking For

Jet Aviation seeks highly skilled aviation professionals prepared to lead and excel in a demanding and fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Minimum of 5 years of aviation experience, including 3,500 hours of total fixed-wing time.
  • Specific flight hour requirements include: 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command, 1,500 hours multi-engine, 500 hours turbojet, 500 hours turbine, 100 hours night, and 75 hours of simulated instrument time.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to accommodate variable schedules based on flight mission requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Flight Operations: Ensure the paramount safety and efficiency of all assigned flights, conducting thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, meticulously filing flight plans, and critically analyzing weather and route conditions to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Crew Leadership & Development: Provide expert mentorship and guidance to crew members, fostering their professional development, conducting comprehensive performance reviews, and coordinating schedules and training initiatives to ensure seamless operational continuity.
  • Champion Safety & Compliance: Actively promote a robust safety culture by adhering to industry best practices, conducting professional passenger briefings, and collaborating effectively with maintenance teams to promptly address and resolve aircraft discrepancies.
  • Ensure Administrative Excellence: Manage all trip documentation with precision, maintain aircraft manuals, assist in crew recruitment processes, and consistently represent Jet Aviation with the highest level of professionalism in all internal and external interactions.
  • Represent the Brand: Serve as a distinguished representative of Jet Aviation, embodying professionalism and an unwavering dedication to the company's mission of delivering exceptional service standards.

What You'll Experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform tasks that involve regular standing, walking, and sitting, with occasional requirements for climbing, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Capability to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
  • Maintenance of sharp visual acuity across various distances and depths is essential.

Work Environment:

  • Adaptability to diverse work settings, ranging from heavy maintenance areas to sophisticated customer lounges.
  • Experience in the dynamic operational environment of aircraft arrivals and departures, which may include periods of high noise levels, vibrations, and exposure to fuel fumes.
  • Resilience in variable weather conditions and adaptation to seasonal temperature fluctuations within hangar facilities.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $290,000 - $330,000 annually. Please note that this range does not constitute a guaranteed offer of compensation. The final salary determination will be based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, geographic location, and other relevant considerations.
