Aircraft Senior Captain

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Job Description

This role is critical in ensuring the safety of passengers, crew, and the successful completion of each flight. The Senior Captain holds overall command and authority during flights, making crucial decisions, monitoring aircraft systems, and adhering strictly to aviation regulations and safety standards. The individual will report directly to the Chief Pilot and work from the Phoenix location. This position significantly impacts the safety and comfort of passengers and crew, ensuring each flight is a safe and efficient journey.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and command the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and company policies.
  • Plan and execute flight operations, including pre-flight checks, route planning, and fuel management.
  • Monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to flight plans.
  • Communicate effectively with air traffic control and other relevant parties.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Holds a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
  • Minimum of 2000 hours of flight experience.
  • A minimum of 1000 flight hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) in turbine-powered aircraft.
  • Holds a valid FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Ability to speak and understand the English Language to the proficiency level required by ICAO Annex 1.
  • Ability to pass a company pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation conducted by Honeywell’s Security Department.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety procedures.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Additional certifications or training in aviation safety and emergency procedures.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
