Captain Position: Minimum Requirements
Prospective Captains are required to meet stringent qualifications to ensure the highest standards of aviation safety and performance. Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Possession of an Australian Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or an equivalent FAA/EASA certification.
- A valid DHC-6 Type Rating with English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 6.
- A current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 3,000 total flight hours, with at least 2,000 hours served in command.
- A minimum of 500 hours Multi-Engine Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience.
- A Commercial Pilot License (CPL-A) coupled with a Multi-Engine Instrument Rating.
- The eligibility to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card.
- The ability to provide a current Police Check.
First Officer and Non-Type Rated Candidates Considered
We also welcome applications from aspiring First Officers and pilots seeking to gain type-specific experience. Candidates for these roles, including those without a current DHC-6 Type Rating, should possess:
- An Australian ATPL/CPL or an equivalent FAA/EASA certification.
- English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 6.
- A current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 1,000 total flight hours.
- A minimum of 500 hours PIC experience.
- A minimum of 150 hours Multi-Engine (M/E) flight experience.
- A minimum of 50 hours on turbine-powered aircraft.
- The eligibility to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card.
- The ability to provide a current Police Check.
