The Opportunity: Captain (M/F/D)
To strategically strengthen the operational team, German Airways is seeking to appoint experienced and highly qualified Captains (M/F/D) for pivotal full-time, permanent positions. These career opportunities are based at the strategic operational hubs of Cologne/Bonn and Rostock.
Minimum Requirements
The ideal Captain candidate must possess robust leadership capabilities, demonstrating a high degree of personal responsibility, flexibility, strong team spirit, and professional commitment. Essential qualifications include:
- A valid EASA ATPL(A) (Airline Transport Pilot Licence).
- Current EASA Medical Certificate Class 1.
- ICAO English Language Proficiency Certificate, rated at least Level 4.
- Proficiency in German at native speaker level or at least language level B2. Alternatively, proficiency in English at native speaker level or at least language level B2.
- A minimum of 4,000 hours of total flying experience, including at least 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on aircraft exceeding 20 tonnes maximum take-off weight.
- An unrestricted EU passport and valid authorization to live and work within the European Union.
- General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences, or a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification.
- A valid background check conducted in accordance with all relevant legal requirements.
- Preferred Qualification: A current and valid type rating for the Embraer E170/E190 family aircraft.
