EASA Licensed H145 Co-Pilot (HEMS)

We are seeking motivated and capable H145 Co-Pilots to support Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) operations across Portugal. This position offers a unique opportunity for pilots to engage in demanding missions, gain significant operational exposure, and pursue professional growth within an environment committed to high standards of excellence.

Key Requirements

  • Proficiency in the Portuguese language is essential; native speakers are preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively in Portuguese.
  • 1,000+ hours total time is ideal, with flexibility available for non-current pilots.
  • Hold an EASA license (non-current or expired licenses are accepted, with support provided for revalidation).
  • Willingness to reside in Portugal or nearby, with the ability to work across multiple bases.
  • Operational flexibility, as there is no permanently assigned base.
  • Acceptance of a 6-month bond and a total 2-year commitment for non-recent candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Commander throughout all flight phases and mission-critical tasks.
  • Assist with navigation, communication, aircraft systems management, and situational awareness.
  • Maintain high standards of Crew Resource Management (CRM), professional discipline, and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate closely with medical teams and mission dispatchers to ensure the safe execution of all flights.
  • Actively develop the skills and experience necessary for future command progression.

Terms and Conditions

  • Rotation: 7 days on / 7 days off schedule.
  • Travel days are included within the rostered duty.
  • Travel day allowance: €100/day.
  • All travel and accommodation costs are fully covered by the organization.
