Position Summary
The Pilot-in-Command is entrusted with the critical responsibility of ensuring the safe and efficient transport of all passengers aboard a 2002 Socata TBM 700. All flight operations are conducted under FAR Part 91 regulations for a group of five co-owners located in Grand Forks, ND. Flights are typically scheduled well in advance, resulting in minimal last-minute demands. The PIC will exemplify superior airmanship, stringent regulatory compliance, and unwavering professionalism throughout all phases of flight.
Compensation and Benefits

- Salary Range: $75,000 to $91,000 Annually (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities
The Pilot-in-Command will demonstrate exceptional single-pilot resource management (SRM) and be responsible for the following:
- Directly managing and executing the safe and efficient transport of all passengers and cargo aboard the Socata TBM 700.
- Ensuring strict adherence to all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), the Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), General Operations Manual (GOM) procedures, and all organizational policies before, during, and after every flight.
- Conducting comprehensive pre-flight inspections and delivering thorough safety and operational briefings to passengers prior to departure.
- Continuously assessing flight conditions while on duty, promptly communicating any changes in operational status to supervisors and passengers, and making appropriate decisions to continue, divert, or terminate a flight in response to evolving circumstances.
- Performing all necessary tasks during operational emergencies to ensure a safe outcome for each flight.
- Accurately completing all required documentation pertaining to aircraft management and flight operations.
- Maintaining ongoing competency in the assigned airframe through active participation in company meetings, continuous education, check-offs, and all mandatory regulatory and organizational training.
- Establishing and fostering effective communication channels with colleagues, management, and other significant individuals.
- Performing other duties as assigned or needed to meet the evolving requirements of the department and organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Prospective candidates must satisfy the following mandatory requirements:
- Commercial Single-Engine Land (ASEL) and Multi-Engine Land (AMEL) Certification
- Instrument Rating
- Current FAA First- or Second-Class Medical Certificate
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- No FAA Certificate Actions within the last five years
Preferred Experience and Skills
Ideal candidates will possess a strong professional background, including:
- 2,000 hours Total Flight Time
- 1,500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time
- 500 hours of Cross-Country flight time
- 100 hours of Night flight time
- 75 hours of Actual or Simulated Instrument flight hours, with a minimum of 50 hours in actual flight conditions
- Prior flight time and experience in a TBM 700 aircraft
- Extensive experience operating Turbine, Pressurized, and Complex Aircraft
- Demonstrated expertise in Cold Weather Operations and managing Icing Conditions
- Proficiency with EFIS flight instruments and the King KFC 325 Autopilot
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, crucial for clear and concise operational discourse.
- Proven capacity for critical thinking and effective adaptation to dynamic operational environments.
