Chief Pilot - Flight Operations

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction and ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of flight operations, setting strategic direction and fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and customer service.
- Ensure strict adherence to Part 135 regulations, company policies, and safety standards, prioritizing safety and compliance in all aspects of flight operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of pilots, overseeing their training and development, and ensuring they meet all applicable regulations and company requirements.
- Actively participate in flight duties on qualified aircraft, demonstrating a commitment to operational proficiency.
- Develop and implement innovative operational procedures and strategies to optimize efficiency, safety, and growth, ensuring continuous improvement across all flight operations.
- Collaborate effectively with Maintenance and Scheduling departments to ensure timely aircraft inspections, repairs, and maintenance, maximizing fleet availability and operational efficiency.
- Oversee pilot training and development, including scheduling initial and recurrent training in accordance with fleet policies and safety standards, cultivating a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Support the Human Resources department in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new pilots, ensuring the selection of highly qualified individuals to maintain the highest standards of flight operations.
- Maintain up-to-date aircraft documents, checklists, publications, and databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Supervise flight planning, aircraft performance, and resource allocation, optimizing operational efficiency and ensuring the effective deployment of resources.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chief Pilot or Director of Operations in a Part 135 operation, demonstrating a deep understanding of the complexities and nuances of this regulatory environment.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Pilot in Command of a Part 121 or 135-operated aircraft, demonstrating exceptional flight skills and a strong understanding of safe and efficient flight operations.
- Experience leading a team of at least 25 pilots, demonstrating effective leadership skills and the ability to foster a positive and productive team environment.
- Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operations regulations, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards.
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot certificate, reflecting a high level of professional qualifications and expertise.
- Extensive experience as a corporate/charter pilot, demonstrating a deep understanding of the specific needs and expectations of this segment of the aviation industry.
- In-depth understanding of Part 135 regulations, ensuring that all operations are conducted in strict accordance with these requirements.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, effectively communicating with pilots, management, and other stakeholders.
- Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving abilities, capable of quickly assessing situations and making sound judgments in demanding environments.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, customer-centric environment, ensuring a high level of service to all clients.
- Minimum of 5,000 total flight hours, demonstrating extensive experience and a high level of operational proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Type Ratings in HS-125 or Citation Ultra, demonstrating specialized expertise in these aircraft types.
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation or related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in aviation theory and principles.
- Extensive experience in Hawker 800 and/or Citation Ultra aircraft, demonstrating a deep understanding of these specific aircraft types and their operational requirements.
