The Flight Instructor delivers exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction for the Dash 8 aircraft, ensuring adherence to aviation regulations and FlightSafety's established training principles. This position is based in Seattle, WA, United States.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive compensation, ranging from $92,575 to $157,550 annually, is offered and will be determined by factors such as a candidate's qualifications, education, skills, experience, and market demands.

This role requires regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee may be required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.

Specific physical capabilities include the ability to reach, exert pressure, and manipulate rudder and/or anti-torque controls with both feet; reach and manipulate numerous controls within a simulator device from the Instructor's chair; enter and exit simulator devices via provided ramps; move between the Instructor station, screen, and podium while instructing in the classroom; and exit a malfunctioned simulator device even when it is in a severely pitched attitude. Essential vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure may include working in high or precarious places, outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold or heat, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration.
