Position Summary
The Flight Instructor is responsible for delivering exceptional ground and simulator-based flight instruction to our clients. This role ensures all training is conducted in strict accordance with aviation regulatory standards and FlightSafety's established training principles, contributing to the highest levels of aviation safety and pilot proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive ground and simulator training for clients enrolled in core, specialty, or enrichment courses.
- Develop, prepare, and update training materials to support effective course delivery and meet specific client needs in alignment with the approved curriculum.
- Evaluate and measure trainee performance and progress, providing recommendations for qualification or identifying the need for additional training.
- Maintain complete and accurate training records for each client to document their progress and successful achievement of training objectives.
- Proactively identify and address potential client training challenges, seeking appropriate assistance to ensure a successful outcome.
- Uphold and maintain all personal instructor qualifications in accordance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or an equivalent license from an ICAO member state.
- Alternatively, candidates without an ATP certificate must meet the requirements of 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation.
- A minimum of one unrestricted Pilot-in-Command (PIC) type rating.
- Must be able and willing to participate in FlightSafety’s DOT-mandated Drug and Alcohol testing program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior training experience in a FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military environment.
- A total flight time of 2,500 hours.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position requires the physical ability to operate flight simulator controls, including rudder and anti-torque pedals, and to manipulate controls from the instructor's station. The incumbent must be able to enter, exit, and move about the simulator and classroom environments. The role involves regular use of hands, reaching, standing, sitting, and communication. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment frequently involves proximity to moving mechanical parts and may include exposure to varied environmental conditions.
