The anticipated salary range for the Rotorcraft Flight Instructor position is $88,500.00 – $150,000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, educational background, specialized skills, and relevant experience, as well as prevailing market demands. These factors collectively impact the salary or wage offered.

The Rotorcraft Flight Instructor plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction. The duties of the Rotorcraft Flight Instructor necessitate specific physical capabilities. The employee is regularly required to use hands for manipulation, reach with arms, and engage in verbal communication. Occasional requirements may include standing, walking, sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and sensory perception (taste or smell).
Crucially, the role demands the physical range of body motion to: reach, exert pressure, and manipulate rudder and/or anti-torque controls with both feet; reach and manipulate numerous controls within a simulator from the instructor’s chair; safely enter and exit a simulator device via a provided ramp; move freely between the instructor station, screen, and podium during classroom instruction; and safely exit a malfunctioned simulator even when the device is in a severely pitched attitude. Specific vision abilities required encompass close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds.
The work environment frequently involves proximity to moving mechanical parts. Instructors may occasionally work in high, precarious locations, and in various outside weather conditions. There is occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold or heat, the risk of electrical shock, radiation, and vibration.
