Flight Instructor Position at FlightSafety International

Purpose of the Position:
The Flight Instructor will deliver comprehensive ground and simulator flight training, adhering strictly to all aviation regulations and FlightSafety's established training principles. This role demands a commitment to excellence and a dedication to fostering a safe and effective learning environment.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Conduct comprehensive pilot ground and simulator training for clients enrolled in core, specialty, or enrichment courses.
- Develop and prepare high-quality training materials tailored to client needs and aligned with the relevant curriculum.
- Evaluate trainee progress, providing constructive feedback and recommending appropriate qualification pathways or additional training as needed.
- Maintain meticulous training records for each client, ensuring accurate documentation of their progress towards achieving training objectives.
- Proactively identify and address client training challenges, seeking assistance from senior personnel when necessary.
- Maintain all required Instructor qualifications in accordance with applicable regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Successful completion of FlightSafety's DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program.
- Possession of an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, or an equivalent Airline Transport Pilot License from an ICAO member state.
- If not holding an ATP certificate, the candidate must meet the requirements of 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation.
- A minimum of one unrestricted Pilot-in-Command (PIC) type rating.
- Preferred: Experience in FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121 operations, or military flight training.
- Preferred: A minimum of 2,500 total flight hours.

- Demonstrated knowledge of aviation safety standards and best practices.
- Comprehensive understanding of common aviation regulations.
- Proven ability to effectively manage training sessions and deliver engaging instruction.
- Strong facilitation skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Willingness to receive constructive feedback and actively participate in professional development.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position requires a wide range of physical capabilities, including the ability to reach, exert pressure, and manipulate flight controls using both feet and hands. The role demands the ability to enter and exit simulators, navigate between various instructor stations, and adapt to potentially challenging physical environments. The incumbent must be able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and frequently lift up to 25 pounds. The work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, varying weather conditions, and potential exposure to fumes, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and vibrations. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
