Flight Instructor
FlightSafety International, the world’s premier professional aviation training company, seeks a qualified Flight Instructor. FlightSafety provides training for pilots, technicians, and other aviation professionals, utilizing the world’s largest fleet of advanced full-flight simulators at Learning Centers and training locations across the globe.
The Flight Instructor delivers exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction, adhering to aviation regulations and FlightSafety Training principles.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pilot ground and simulator training for clients participating in core, specialty, or enrichment training courses.
- Develop and prepare training materials that support effective training delivery and meet client needs in accordance with the applicable curriculum.
- Evaluate and measure trainee progress, providing recommendations for qualification or additional training.
- Complete accurate and detailed training records for each client, contributing to their success in achieving desired objectives.
- Identify client training issues and proactively seek assistance before execution.
- Maintain Instructor qualifications in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Minimum Experience:
- Must be able and willing to participate in FlightSafety’s DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program.
- Possession of an unrestricted ATP certificate or an ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License is required.
- In the absence of an ATP, candidates must meet the requirements outlined in:
- 14 CFR part 61.153
- 14 CFR part 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation.
- A minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating is essential.
- Preferred experience includes FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training.
- A preferred minimum of 2,500 hours of total flight time is desired.

- Proven ability to effectively manage classes and deliver impactful instruction.
- Demonstrated first-level facilitation skills.
- Exceptional first-level customer service skills.
- Receptiveness to coaching and feedback, fostering continuous professional development.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The role requires regular use of hands for manipulating objects, tools, and controls, as well as reaching, talking, and hearing. The employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell.
The candidate must possess the physical range of motion to:
- Reach, exert pressure, and manipulate rudder controls and/or anti-torque with both feet.
- Reach and manipulate numerous controls within the Simulator device from the Instructor’s chair.
- Enter and exit the Simulator device via the provided ramp.
- Move between the Instructor station, screen, and podium while instructing in the classroom.
- Exit from a malfunctioning Simulator while the device is in a severely pitched attitude.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, potentially in high, precarious places, and occasionally in outside weather conditions. Exposure to wet/humid conditions, fumes/airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical shock risk, radiation risk, and vibration may occur.
