Purpose of the Position
The Flight Instructor plays a critical role in shaping the future of aviation by delivering exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction. Adhering to stringent aviation regulations and FlightSafety's renowned training principles, the Flight Instructor guides aspiring and experienced pilots towards achieving their professional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct engaging and effective ground and simulator training for clients across various courses, including core, specialty, and enrichment programs.
- Develop and refine dynamic training materials that cater to specific client needs while aligning with the approved curriculum.
- Employ rigorous evaluation methods to measure trainee progress, recommending qualifications or identifying areas requiring further development.
- Maintain meticulous training records for each client, documenting their journey and ensuring the achievement of their desired outcomes.
- Proactively identify and address any client training challenges, collaborating with colleagues and seeking support to facilitate optimal learning experiences.
- Remain at the forefront of aviation knowledge by diligently maintaining Instructor qualifications in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Unrestricted ATP certificate or an equivalent Airline Transport Pilot License from an ICAO member state.
- Candidates without an ATP certificate must fulfill the requirements outlined in 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64, specifically excluding any Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitations.
- One unrestricted PIC type rating is mandatory.
- Willingness to participate in FlightSafety's DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training environments.
- A minimum of 2,500 hours of total flight time.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
The Flight Instructor position demands physical dexterity and the ability to perform tasks such as operating simulator controls with both hands and feet, accessing various areas within the simulator, and moving comfortably between teaching stations. The role requires close visual acuity, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The selected candidate must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 25 pounds.
The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, potential for working at heights, and occasional exposure to varying weather conditions.
