This position provides dedicated support for an Embraer Praetor 600 aircraft, contributing to a professional team of three pilots operating on a structured 6 days on/4 days off schedule. This rotational pattern offers reasonable flexibility to support managed aircraft flying client and charter operations. The successful applicant must be willing to be permanently based in Manchester, United Kingdom.
Core Responsibilities
The First Officer is responsible for executing duties that encompass both flight safety and passenger experience, including:
- Ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all assigned flight schedules, adhering strictly to all regulatory and manufacturer's guidelines.
- Personally welcoming and engaging with passengers pre-flight, providing detailed briefings on the trip, confirming itineraries, offering weather updates, and clearly explaining any operational changes.
- Serving as the dedicated liaison between passengers and Sirio throughout the entire journey, from arrival at the Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) to safe departure from the final destination.
- Delivering impeccable in-flight service, including the responsible handling of alcohol, catering service management, and the meticulous loading and stowing of all passenger baggage.
- Upholding the cabin's pristine integrity by performing thorough cleaning, organization, and stocking procedures before each flight sector.
- Flexibly undertaking additional operational responsibilities as assigned based on specific mission requirements or assignments.
Required Professional Skills
- A comprehensive working knowledge of all applicable EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) Regulations.
- Strong organisational skills and advanced multi-tasking abilities essential for complex flight operations and client service delivery.

Education, Licensure, and Experience Requirements
Candidates must meet the following mandatory and desirable criteria:
- Valid UK CAA ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) is mandatory (EASA ATPL and Medical are desirable but not mandatory).
- A minimum of 1,000 hours Total Time flight experience.
- A minimum of 250 hours Multi-Pilot Instrument Time.
- ME-IR (A) Multi-Engine Instrument Rating held on a valid UK CAA License.
- Unrestricted Class 1 UK CAA Medical Certificate is mandatory.
- MCC (Multi-Crew Cooperation) Course certificate or an MP Rating held on a valid UK CAA License.
- Hold an advanced UPRT (Upset Prevention and Recovery Training) qualification or have completed, within the preceding three years, the required training and checking in accordance with points ORO.FC.220 or ORO.FC.230 of Annex III (Part-ORO).
- Hold a valid Passport allowing for unrestricted international travel.
- English Language Proficiency (ELP) at a minimum level 5.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in Commercial Air Transport and Corporate Aviation operations is highly desirable.
- Over 150 hours Pilot in Command Under Supervision (PICUS) time is desirable.
- Must possess the legal right to work in the United Kingdom and have the ability to travel freely in and out of Europe and to all cities/countries that Sirio serves.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends, nights, shifts, holidays, and extended overnight trips.
- Employment is conditional upon the successful completion of Initial Training, which includes a Type Rating on the assigned fleet (Embraer Praetor 600).
Working Conditions
The work environment is representative of those encountered in global business aviation operations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions including extreme heat and cold; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions, and vibration. The role involves exposure to chemicals including aviation fuels and lavatory fluid. The noise level in the operational work environment is typically loud.
Physical Requirements
In addition to the physical requirements mandated for holding a Class 1 Medical certificate, the Pilot must be capable of completing the essential day-to-day tasks associated with the operation of an airplane. This includes, but is not limited to: loading and unloading of baggage, accomplishing a thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspection, assisting with snow and ice removal during inclement weather, installation and removal of engine covers, and the daily cleaning of the aircraft as required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 23 kgs.
