PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Safe and efficient conduct of assigned flights. - Complies with all federal, state, local and foreign regulations, as well of the Aviation Operations Manual.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
JOB SCOPE
Completes all preflight and postflight duties in accordance with Section 3 of this manual.
Reports to: The Captain - (PIC) reports operationally and/or administratively to the applicable Chief Pilot.
Responsibilities: The PIC is operationally responsible to the applicable Chief Pilot for the safe and efficient conduct of assigned flights and ensures compliance with all federal, state, local, and foreign regulations, as well as this Aviation Operations Manual.
Duties:
Ensures that the aircraft is airworthy, and that the documentation and operational information specified in section 3.1.3 are onboard the aircraft.
Maintains working knowledge of all applicable CFRs, the AIM, AFM, and the Exelon ible for the aircraft's security during its operation:
Responsible for the aircraft's security during its operation.
Completes all preflight and postflight duties in accordance with Section 3 of this manual.
Briefs the passengers in accordance with the requirements specified in section 3.4.1.5.
Checks and assesses weather and all applicable NOTAMs; Determines fuel, oil, and oxygen requirements.
Calculates aircraft weights and balance and determines if the performance is adequate for safe takeoff, departure, and landing in compliance with FAA and ICAO regulations.
Ensures that a flight will not be commenced if a flight crew member is incapacitated from performing duties by any cause such as injury, sickness, fatigue, or the effects of any psychoactive substance.
Ensures that the flight will not be continued beyond the nearest suitable airport when a flight crew member's capacity to perform functions is significantly reduced by impairment of faculties from causes such as fatigue, sickness or lack of oxygen; Conducts flights in accordance with the Exelon AOM and applicable federal, state, local and foreign regulations governing the operation.
Confirms any nonstandard environmental rules and procedures at the intended departure and destination airports.
Ensures that all flight planning requirements have been met and compliance with customs, immigration, and cabotage laws, and
Completes all preflight and postflight duties in accordance with Section 3 of this manual.
Assumes additional duties as delegated by the Chief Pilot.
