Position Summary and Account Details

Executive Jet Management (EJM) is actively recruiting highly qualified and experienced aviation professionals for the position of Pilot in Command (PIC) aboard a state-of-the-art Global 7500 aircraft. This prestigious account is permanently based at Bradley International Airport, CT (KBDL).

This premium Part 91 operation is structured as a six-pilot account, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and two professional Cabin Attendants. The operational profile involves extensive international flying, accounting for up to 70% of flight activity and approximately 500 annual flight hours. Due to the international scope and frequent schedule changes, the average Pilot in Command is required to be away from base for approximately 14 days per month.

Well-qualified candidates must possess a current Global 7500 type rating and demonstrate extensive worldwide operational experience. Crucially, applicants must currently reside or be willing to relocate within a two-hour driving radius of Bradley International Airport (KBDL), as this is not a home-based position. Relocation assistance will not be provided. Current Global experience will be considered favorably.

The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all aircraft operations are conducted in a safe, compliant, and highly efficient manner. The PIC is required to strictly adhere to all company policies and regulatory mandates while simultaneously delivering an exceptional, premium service experience to clientele.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight:

  • Verifies that all crewing and trip assignments adhere strictly to company and regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately completes all essential flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for every assignment.
  • Leads required operational briefings utilizing the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
  • Complies rigorously with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates necessary actions with company personnel. Acts as the designated Grounds Security Coordinator and In-Flight Security Coordinator, in accordance with company policy.
  • Performs thorough aircraft pre-flight inspections, confirming the aircraft's maintenance status to ensure mission capability. Documents all aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
  • Monitors and confirms the accomplishment of all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with SOPs.
  • Effectively utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to ensure clear and timely communication with all crew and support personnel during all phases of flight.

Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:

  • Provides high-quality service to owners and passengers while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Regularly investigates and resolves service deviations.
  • Completes comprehensive passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation. Delivers the highest level of customer service and accommodates any special needs of passengers (e.g., physically challenged).
  • Collaborates seamlessly with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience to owners and passengers, resolving conflict and challenges professionally.

Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:

  • Diligently maintains all required regulatory and company training, ensuring current recency of experience.
  • Complies fully with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports all safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications (KSAOs)

Minimum Flight Time Requirements:

  • Total Flight Time: 3,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
  • Pilot in Command (PIC): 2,000 hours
  • PIC Multi-Engine Land: 500 hours
  • Instrument: 300 hours
  • Jet Time: 500 hours

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possession of an FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (Global 7500 highly preferred).
  • Must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation environments is strongly preferred.
