Empire Airlines seeks a dedicated and experienced Part-135 C208 Caravan Captain to conduct safe, efficient, compliant, and professional flight services based in Anchorage, Alaska. This full-time role involves commanding the Cessna Caravan aircraft, ensuring operational integrity and adherence to all regulatory standards.
About the Role
The C208 Captain is responsible for the safe maneuver of the aircraft through all flight phases. This includes monitoring flight conditions, weather, and cargo safety, making critical go/no-go decisions, and verifying fuel requirements and proper loading. The Captain will make alternate destination decisions when necessary and maintain command during unexpected circumstances. Effective communication with stations, towers, flight controllers, and dispatchers is paramount. The role also requires filing FAA reports, promptly reporting any unusual aircraft behavior, and accurately recording flight hours while adhering to FAA rest and company directives. The C208 Captain will supervise flight-related personnel, stay current with regulatory changes and company procedures, and serve as a positive leader for the company and its customers.
Requirements

Commercial Pilot License with Single-Engine Land (SEL) and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) ratings.

1200 hours Total Time (TT).

800 hours Pilot in Command (PIC).

500 hours Cross-Country.

100 hours Night.

75 hours IFR, with a minimum of 50 hours actual instrument time.

Current and proficient IFR rating.

2nd Class Medical Certificate.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Adherence to the company’s FAA/DOT required Drug and Alcohol Program.
