The Role: Vice President, Cabin Crew
This executive-level position, reporting to the Divisional Senior Vice President of Service Delivery, assumes responsibility for the leadership, strategic direction, and guidance of the entire cabin crew management team and a large, multicultural cabin crew workforce. The Vice President, Cabin Crew, is tasked with ensuring the consistent delivery of an outstanding in-flight customer service experience and a seamless journey for the crew.
The incumbent will align all activities with Emirates' foundational values, culture, and engagement strategies. Close collaboration with the Hospitality Team is essential to ensure that service design and delivery are fully integrated with the overarching Emirates Hospitality Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the cabin crew management team, fostering their professional development, and ensuring they possess the appropriate skill sets and knowledge to confidently apply company policies and practices. Provide guidance, coaching, and performance reviews to enhance people management and soft skills.
- Be accountable for the delivery of an outstanding in-flight experience by cabin crew, encompassing on-board service, safety protocols, language capabilities, and impeccable image and uniform standards, thereby consistently representing the corporate image of Emirates Airline on every flight.
- Drive and implement strategic initiatives aimed at improving the management and performance of the cabin crew community. Establish, communicate, prioritize, and implement clear performance measurements across all levels of the cabin crew community to ensure the highest standards of service and hospitality.
- Champion the utilization of the latest communication platforms to facilitate real-time, two-way crew engagement, fostering motivation and valuable feedback.
- Collaborate closely with Cabin Crew Training to establish effective and comprehensive mechanisms and processes that support crew training and development plans, including national development initiatives where applicable, to continually meet the evolving pace and product standards of Service Delivery.
- Identify opportunities for policy, process, and performance enhancements within the Cabin Crew Management Team and across other relevant departments. Drive these changes, leveraging data analytics to introduce efficiencies within the team.
- Work in close collaboration with Business Support and Product Management to deliver and maintain the highest level of hospitality standards and implement efficient management initiatives that support the overall hospitality strategy for Service Delivery.
- Partner with the Hospitality Team to ensure that service design and delivery are seamlessly aligned with the Emirates Hospitality Strategy.
- Maintain superior standards for internal communication with the crew, in collaboration with the Communications Manager. This includes enhancing organizational awareness and fostering a strong sense of belonging through state-of-the-art communication channels.
Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates for this prestigious role must meet the following requirements:
- A completed Degree or Honors (12+3 equivalent) in a relevant field of study.
- A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in In-Flight Services, In-flight Administration, and/or Airline Operations.
- Prior experience as a cabin crew member, preferably with a leading global airline, is required.
- Demonstrated significant experience in managing large work groups.
- Previous experience in Cabin Crew management is desirable but not strictly essential.
