The Captain holds the ultimate responsibility for the safety and well-being of the flight crew, passengers, and cargo. As a leader, the Captain will foster a culture of Crew Resource Management, encouraging open communication and collaboration while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining complete command of the aircraft and crew, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Proactively evaluating all factors impacting flight operations, including weather, aircraft performance, and navigational considerations.
- Making informed decisions regarding flight plans, delays, cancellations, and deviations, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all onboard.
- Ensuring the airworthiness of the aircraft, including pre-flight inspections, documentation verification, and fuel management.
- Communicating effectively with the System Operations Control (SOC), providing timely updates and reporting any deviations from flight plans.
- Leading and mentoring First Officers, fostering a collaborative cockpit environment and ensuring a shared understanding of all flight procedures.
- Maintaining a current First-Class Medical Certificate and upholding the highest standards of personal and professional conduct.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7,000 total flight hours, acquired in the operating seat of turboprop and/or turbojet aircraft.
- Minimum of 2,000 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience on multi-crew, multi-engine commercial aircraft.
- Proven experience as PIC on wide-body aircraft, with preference given to B767 or B777 type ratings.
- Valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and FAA Class One Medical certificate.
- Valid Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit, fluency in English, and a valid US Driver's License.
- Minimum of 1,000 hours of flight time under Part 121 operations.
- Current passport permitting worldwide travel.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in English consistent with at least ICAO Level 4 endorsement.
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment screenings, including drug and alcohol tests, background checks, and a criminal history records check.
- Candidates considered for Direct Entry Captain positions must meet FAR 121.436 requirements.
