The Captain will report directly to the Chief Pilot, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional transport of Crest employees and clients.

The Opportunity
As a Captain within Crest Industries' Aviation Department, the successful candidate will serve as a Pilot in Command (PIC), upholding the highest aviation standards and acting as a culture and safety ambassador for the organization. This role requires regular overnight travel, typically averaging once per week, and includes some on-call duties to support dynamic operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
The Captain will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of company aircraft while embodying Crest Industries' values and culture. Key duties include, but are not limited to:
- Flight Operations:
- Conducts comprehensive flight planning and preparation, including detailed weather analysis, optimal routing, and performance considerations.
- Files and manages flight plans in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and company protocols.
- Ensures full compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and rigorous safety procedures.
- Executes thorough pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections and maintains accurate documentation.
- Operates advanced aircraft systems, including Satcom Direct, navigation, and communication equipment.
- Maintains exceptional flight proficiency, comprehensive knowledge of normal and emergency procedures, and adheres to Crew Resource Management (CRM) standards.
- Passenger and Crew Management:
- Represents Crest Industries with utmost professionalism and discretion to all passengers and fellow crew members.
- Briefs passengers comprehensively on flight details and essential safety protocols.
- Provides strong leadership to the aviation crew, fostering a respectful, collaborative, and team-based environment.
- Aircraft Oversight & Coordination:
- Coordinates effectively with maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft readiness and operational integrity.
- Maintains and submits accurate flight logs and operational reports.
- Monitors aircraft systems and fuel performance, ensuring all required documentation is current and compliant.
- Communications & Collaboration:
- Liaises seamlessly with air traffic control (ATC), dispatch, and ground support throughout all flight operations.
- Actively participates in safety reviews, operational debriefings, and department meetings.
- Provides on-call flexibility and availability for short-notice travel when required to meet operational demands.
- Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
- Identifies and proactively addresses potential safety risks and operational hazards.
- Stays current with aviation best practices, ongoing training requirements, and evolving regulatory changes.
- Supports and models Crest's high standards of compliance, continuous improvement, and leadership within the aviation department.
Minimum Qualifications
Prospective Captains must possess the following qualifications:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Multi-Engine Rating.
- Minimum of 3,000 total flight hours.
- Minimum of 1,000 hours in turbine jet aircraft.
- Valid Second-Class FAA Medical Certificate.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and safety procedures.
- Experience with Satcom Direct systems.
- Clean FAA and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) — free of accidents or violations.
- Must reside within 1.5 hours of Pineville, Louisiana, or be willing to relocate.
- Willingness to travel overnight weekly and be available for some on-call operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
In addition to meeting the minimum requirements, the preferred candidate will demonstrate:
- 5,000+ total flight hours.
- Type rating in the Falcon 2000EX EASy series.
- At least 500 hours of time in Falcon 2000 aircraft.
- Familiarity with Dassault Falcon systems and avionics.
- Proven leadership abilities and extensive experience managing flight operations or crews.
- A deep personal commitment to safety, reliability, and service excellence.
