Pilot
Cook Shared Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot to transport personnel, equipment, and supplies to various locations. The Pilot will operate company aircraft under day, night, and instrument conditions, adhering strictly to FAA, ICAO, and company regulations. The Pilot will exercise exceptional care and judgement to ensure the safety of passengers and company property, safely transporting them under diverse weather and ground conditions. This is a full-time position based in Bloomington, IN, with rotating/weekend shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Brief passengers on aircraft cabin equipment usage and emergency procedures, ensuring their comfort and assisting with baggage and ground transportation.
- Analyze weather information to determine flight advisability, select optimal routes and altitudes, and complete/file flight plans with FAA facilities.
- Supervise the loading of passengers, baggage, and freight, ensuring compliance with aircraft performance data and weight and balance limits.
- Coordinate flight planning with operational and scheduling personnel to communicate arrival/departure times and weather information to passengers and address their needs.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-flight aircraft inspections, verifying consumables, supplies, and equipment, and ensuring airworthiness according to FAA and company regulations.
- Ensure proper servicing, storage, care, and protection of company aircraft and equipment while away from the home base.
- Issue purchase orders, sign for contracted fees and services, perform post-flight aircraft inspections, and report malfunctions and operating data to maintenance.
- Complete and file FAA records and reports, aircraft and flight reports, and maintain a personal flight log and records.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of FAA regulations, airport landing areas, air traffic control procedures, communications frequencies, and techniques.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of aircraft flight operations and systems manuals, staying informed of current developments, techniques, and procedures in the aviation industry.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.'s) for aircraft operation.
- Maintain passenger and business confidentiality regarding company aircraft use.
- Perform other aviation-related, non-flying duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3,000 hours total flight experience.
- 1,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) in turbine aircraft.
- 500 hours in jet aircraft.
- 200 hours flown in the last 12 months.
- Previous corporate flying experience is preferred.
- Experience flying aircraft exceeding 12,500 lbs. at takeoff.
- Preferred experience: Challenger 604, Gulfstream G100, and/or King Air 350i.
- Associate's degree or equivalent is required.
- Current 1st Class FAA Medical Certificate is required.
- FAA ATP certificate with multi-engine endorsement is required.
- No prior aviation incidents/accidents/violations.
- Valid US Passport and FCC Restricted Radio Operator Certificate are required.
- Pilots will be required to fly 3 aircraft types.
