Summary of Essential Duties:

  • Complete Contours Initial New Hire Flight Attendant training and maintain Flight Attendant qualifications by successfully completing yearly recurrent ground training (RGT).
  • Instruct, support, coach, analyze and evaluate Flight Attendant training performance throughout Company designated training events.
  • Assist in maintaining various training curriculum in accordance with regulatory requirements, and Company policies (as applicable).
  • Conduct training for both classroom, performance drills, and practical exercises as designated.
  • Ensure necessary resources are accessible and meet performance standards to accomplish the required training, including classroom space, aircraft, and other training equipment.
  • Review and suggest modification to department manuals, processes, and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Continued development of rigorous safety and service delivery approaches and standards for a higher level of procedural consistency in the cabin.
  • Conduct Initial Operating Experience (IOE) evaluations on new hire Flight Attendants.
  • Conduct check-rides on current/qualified Flight Attendants.
  • Perform administrative duties relative to the training department such as record keeping, monitoring flight attendant training performance and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain, demonstrate, and support operational safety, reliability, integrity, consistency, and adherence to corporate values and Safety Management System (SMS) processes.
  • Work closely with the Inflight and Flight Operations Leadership to support the defined training and operating strategy for the Inflight Department.
  • Represent the Inflight Department when called upon to meet with business partners and/or regulatory agencies e.g., FAA, TSA, etc.
  • Assist the Inflight Leadership team with coordinating compliance and training alignment with operations policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical input on Flight Attendant manuals, processes, and procedures when called upon.
  • Performs special projects and other duties assigned or required by management.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentially in all matters.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Two (2) or more years Flight Attendant experience in a 14 CFR Part 121 and/or 14 CFR Part 135 operations.
  • Bachelors degree or at least two (2) years of teaching experience. NOTE: Teaching experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
  • Experience teaching adult learners is preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of Flight Attendant Training Instructor experience, preferred.
  • Willing and able to relocate to the Nashville, TN area (Contour Corporate Headquarters is located in Smyrna, Tennessee).
  • Must possess comprehensive understanding of the Flight Attendant role, responsibilities, and daily duties.
  • Possess and maintain a valid US passport or foreign passport.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and eligible to travel in and out of the United States to foreign destinations.
  • Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be willing to submit to and pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug test and then submit to subsequent random drug and/or alcohol tests.
  • Must pass FAA required 10-year work history review, submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. drivers license and have an excellent driving record.
  • Able to read, write, and speak fluently in the English language.
  • Operational knowledge of laptop and desktop computers, working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, or related presentation programs. Operational knowledge of Outlook is required. Competency with internet navigation is also required.
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Available to travel as required.
  • Must possess excellent coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to motivate others.
  • Prior supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Skilled at maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Be self-motivated and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must possess the ability to accomplish duties in a manner that adheres to regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, local, and federal regulations.
  • Must be proficient in accessing, comprehending, and applying FAA regulations and guidance materials as required e.g., 8900.1, SAFO, Cabin Safety Index, etc.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset
  • Possess strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities.
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
