The Opportunity: Aviation Captain

Chartright Air Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Captain to operate its Gulfstream 450 and Citation X aircraft. Based in Toronto, this pivotal role requires a dedicated professional committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety, operational efficiency, and exceptional client service. The Captain will play a critical role in Chartright's daily flight operations and contribute to its reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Captain on Gulfstream 450 and Citation X aircraft, ensuring all flights are conducted with the utmost safety and professionalism.
  • Provide operational support during available reserve days, contributing to seamless daily activities.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with Chartright’s Flight Coordination Centre and Sales teams to fulfill all operational and service requirements.
  • Cultivate a cooperative and collaborative onboard environment, encouraging the sharing of ideas, improvements, and solutions among crew members.
  • Deliver direct, outstanding customer service to clients, significantly contributing to an exceptional private aviation experience.
  • Diligently complete monthly training courses and other assigned duties to maintain professional proficiency and operational readiness.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Holds a valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
  • Possesses Group 1 Multi-Engine IFR rating.
  • Maintains a valid Transport Canada Medical certificate.
  • Holds a Canadian Radio Telephone License.
  • A minimum of 4000 hours of total flight time.
  • At least 2000 hours of multi-engine Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time, with jet or turbine experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with modern flight management systems (FMS) and glass cockpits.
  • Required experience in international flying, particularly to Europe and South America.
  • Profound understanding of aviation weather phenomena, airport performance characteristics, flight plan calculations, comprehensive fuel planning, and precise weight and balance principles.
  • Expert knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and robust Safety Management System (SMS) practices.
  • Possesses a positive mindset, strong collaborative abilities, and proven success in building effective relationships across an organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in client service, organizational acumen, and prioritization.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule to effectively meet client needs.
  • A University degree or College diploma in Aviation is preferred.
  • Previous time on type (Gulfstream 450 and Citation X) is preferred.
