Job Summary

Bombardier is seeking a Captain to join its Demonstration Team. This role involves performing flight operations for demonstration purposes, including participating in airshows and events, and answering performance-related questions for sales. The Captain will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft worldwide, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and providing leadership to assigned crewmembers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform duties of Trip Captain as assigned.
  • Supervise assigned crewmembers throughout all phases of flight.
  • Conduct and supervise training of crewmembers on operating procedures.
  • Counsel crewmembers and report any safety-affecting abnormalities to the Chief Pilot.
  • Ensure aircraft security when away from home base.
  • Make critical decisions regarding flight continuation or diversion and report changes.
  • Ensure compliance with customs, immigration, and cabotage laws.
  • Verify aircraft release for service and resolution of all maintenance discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with the Chief of Maintenance to resolve aircraft issues.
  • Understand the role of Flight Operations in marketing and sales contexts.
  • Conduct unrestricted worldwide flying operations.
  • Participate in main airshows and events.
  • Respond to performance inquiries on assigned aircraft for sales purposes.
  • Acquire a second type rating on company product.
  • Acquire 500 cumulative flying hours on company product.
  • Attend Bombardier Safety Standdown.

Qualifications

  • FAA ATP Certificate
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  • FCC Radio Permit
  • Minimum 3500 total flight hours
  • Minimum 1500 multi-engine turbine hours
  • Ability for unrestricted worldwide travel, including up-to-date immunizations.
  • Interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships.
  • Computer proficiency with applications such as iPad, email, and web-based tools.
  • Planning and organizational skills for workload management.
  • Ability to work in environments with varying climatic conditions and cabin pressurization.
  • Willingness to work duty days up to 16 hours and cross up to 12 time zones.
  • Readiness to deploy for up to 16 days.
  • Flexibility to work changing schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a CFI/MEI or equivalent.
  • International flying experience.
  • Transport Canada ATPL.
  • Transport Canada Category 1 Medical.
  • A type rating in a Bombardier aircraft (3500/6500/7500).
  • Previous Demo Pilot experience with Bombardier or a competitor.
  • Prior Captain experience on Bombardier product.
