Role Overview
Bombardier Aerospace is seeking a skilled and experienced Pilot, Captain to join its Flight Operations team, specifically within the Challenger Flight Test division. This critical role involves ensuring the airworthiness and operational excellence of aircraft through a variety of flight operations. The incumbent will contribute to the evolution of global mobility by providing a dynamic environment where innovative ideas can flourish.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct production ground and flight tests to validate aircraft airworthiness.
- Perform demonstration flights for prospective customers.
- Execute customer acceptance flights.
- Conduct ferry flights as required.
- Manage pre- and post-flight activities.
- Support weekend schedules and extended periods as necessary.
- Provide support to the Bombardier Flight Test Center.
- Review technical documentation and manuals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold a valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) and a Class 1 medical certificate.
- Possess a minimum of 3,500 total flight hours, including at least 500 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on large multi-engine aircraft.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work irregular hours and travel on short notice.
- Previous flight test experience or a strong technical background in aircraft certification or training is a significant asset.
- A U.S. Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license is considered an asset.
- Must possess the legal right to work and reside in Canada.
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Demonstrate the capacity to execute the duties of an aircraft commander while maintaining positive and cooperative relationships with crew and management.
- Possess the ability to manage stressful situations effectively.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
