Bombardier Aerospace | Captain

Bombardier Aerospace Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Captain to join its Demonstration Team based in Richardson, TX. This role involves performing flight operations, supervising crew, and representing the company at airshows and events, conducting worldwide flying operations on Bombardier products.

About the Role

• Perform duties of Trip Captain when assigned.
• Supervise assigned crewmembers throughout pre-flight, en-route, and post-flight operations.
• Conduct and supervise crewmember training on general operating procedures as outlined in the Flight Operations Manual.
• Counsel crewmembers as necessary and report any safety-affecting abnormalities to the Chief Pilot.
• Ensure aircraft security when away from home base.
• Make critical decisions regarding flight continuation or diversion, notifying the Chief Pilot and/or Scheduler/Dispatcher of any changes.
• Ensure compliance with customs, immigration, and cabotage laws.
• Verify aircraft release for service by maintenance and ensure all discrepancies are cleared per the Minimum Equipment List.
• Coordinate with the Chief of Maintenance to resolve any aircraft maintenance issues.
• Understand the role of Flight Operations in Marketing and Sales contexts.
• Conduct unrestricted worldwide flying operations.
• Participate at main airshows and events.
• Address performance-related questions for Sales on assigned aircraft.
• Acquire a second type rating on a company product.
• Accumulate 500 cumulative flying hours on company product.
• Attend Bombardier Safety Standdown.

Requirements

• FAA ATP Certificate.
• FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• FCC Radio Permit.
• Minimum of 3500 total flight hours.
• Minimum of 1500 multi-engine turbine flight hours.
• Ability for unrestricted worldwide travel, including up-to-date immunizations and vaccinations.
• Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, management, and other departments.
• Computer skills for learning and operating iPad, email, and web-based applications.
• Planning and organization skills to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and coordinate activities.
• Ability to work in environments with varying climatic conditions and cabin pressurization levels.
• Ability to work duty days up to 16 hours and cross as many as 12 time zones.
• Willingness to deploy for up to 16 days.
• Flexibility to work changing and varied schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a CFI/MEI or equivalent (e.g., ex-military instructor).
• International flying experience.
• Transport Canada ATPL.
• Transport Canada Category 1 Medical.
• A type rating in a Bombardier aircraft (3500/6500/7500).
• Previous Demonstration Pilot experience with Bombardier or a competitor.
• Prior Captain experience on Bombardier product.
