Responsibilities:

The Captain is primarily responsible for acting as pilot-in-command on the Gulfstream 450 and Citation X aircraft based in Toronto (YYZ). Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all flights are conducted in a safe manner.
  • Supporting daily operational activities, including availability on reserve days.
  • Liaising effectively with Chartright’s Flight Coordination Centre and Sales teams to ensure all operational and service requirements are met.
  • Fostering a collaborative environment, encouraging team members to share ideas and solutions.
  • Providing direct customer service to clients, contributing significantly to an exceptional client experience.
  • Participating in monthly training courses and performing other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess:

  • Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
  • Group 1 Multi-Engine IFR rating.
  • Valid Transport Canada Medical Certificate.
  • Canadian Radio Telephone License.
  • Minimum of 4000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum 2000 multi-engine PIC hours; jet or turbine time is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Hands-on experience with flight management systems and glass cockpits.
  • Previous international flying experience (specifically Europe & South America) is required.
  • Strong understanding of aviation weather, airport performance, flight plan calculations, fuel planning, and weight and balance.
  • Expert knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and Safety Management System (SMS) practices is mandatory.
  • A positive mindset and the strong ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships across the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional client service, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate client needs.

A University degree or College diploma in Aviation is preferred, and previous time on type is also preferred.
