Position Overview

Lufthansa City Airlines invites qualified and passionate aviation professionals to join its team as a Training Captain / Type Rating Examiner (TRI/TRE) on the Airbus A220. Key Responsibilities

The Training Captain / Type Rating Examiner will serve as a Captain, embodying openness, professionalism, and pragmatism. Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating Lufthansa City Airlines aircraft safely and with optimal efficiency.
  • Acting responsibly and sustainably in all operational aspects.

  • Conducting training and examinations in accordance with regulatory standards and company procedures.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Candidates for this esteemed position must demonstrate strong decision-making skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach, alongside the following essential qualifications:

  • EASA ATPL(A): A valid Airline Transport Pilot License (Aeroplane) issued by EASA.
  • CS-25 Type Rating: A valid Type Rating on a CS-25 aircraft.
  • TRI/TRE Qualification: Valid TRI/TRE qualification (minimum TRI/r), with further qualifications being advantageous. An A220 TRI/TRE qualification is highly preferred but not strictly mandatory for application.
  • Instructor Experience: Proven and significant experience as an aviation instructor.
  • Total Flight Hours: A minimum of 5000 hours total flight time on CS-25 aircraft.
  • Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Hours: At least 1000 PIC hours on CS-25 aircraft.
  • Medical Certificate: Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Education: General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur/Fachhochschulreife or equivalent).
  • Eligibility: EU citizenship or an unrestricted residence and work permit for Germany.
  • Passport: A passport with unlimited validity. For non-EU passport holders, entry restrictions must be no stricter than those applicable to EU passport holders.
  • Language Proficiency: Confident verbal and written English language skills, demonstrated by at least ICAO Language Proficiency Level 4.

The selection process adheres to Lufthansa City Airlines' rigorous standards, with potential recognition of prior Lufthansa Group selection procedures.
