Disaster Management Training Specialist

Role Overview

This critical role involves the delivery and enhancement of specialized disaster management training programs within the aviation sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of training delivery, material development, and program administration to meet stringent curriculum requirements and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate existing Public Safety and Health Services (PSHS) Disaster Management training modules, adhering strictly to established curriculum standards to guarantee consistency, learner engagement, and achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Refine and enhance PSHS Disaster Management training materials, integrating contemporary feedback, industry best practices, and evolving operational requirements for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver comprehensive PSHS Disaster Management training courses, encompassing classroom instruction, simulation exercises, and practical sessions, in full alignment with curriculum standards.
  • Contribute actively to the development of new PSHS Disaster Management training materials as necessitated by program evolution.
  • Develop and implement detailed training plans, including the preparation of course schedules, lesson plans, and supporting training documentation, to effectively meet program objectives.
  • Provide essential support to program management, which includes preparing monthly progress reports, furnishing updates on program activities, and coordinating participant registration and training logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with CAE Brunei MPTC policies, relevant local regulations, and customer-specific requirements, while proactively recommending enhancements to training methodologies and program delivery.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education & Experience: A background in public safety, health, emergency response, disaster management, or a closely related field is considered advantageous. Prior experience in instructional design or training delivery is highly preferred. A proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
  • Instructional Skills: Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and impactful training sessions tailored for diverse audiences.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities. Capability to liaise professionally with clients and stakeholders. Fluency in both English and Bahasa Melayu is required.
  • Program Management: Competence in coordinating training schedules, effectively managing multiple priorities, and delivering timely, accurate reporting.
  • Cultural Awareness: High sensitivity to local Bruneian culture and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multinational team environment.
  • Other Attributes: Possesses flexibility, adaptability, a keen attention to detail, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
