Key Responsibilities
The Instructor Pilot will be responsible for a diverse range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Delivering comprehensive flight training in both advanced flight simulator environments and traditional ground school settings.
- Ensuring all training conducted adheres strictly to relevant regulatory agency standards, CAE-approved curriculum, and specific customer requirements.
- Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), adeptly guiding clients through their full training programs.
- Providing expert simulator, flight, or classroom instruction on one or more assigned aircraft types for the issuance of licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
- Conducting pre- and post-flight simulator briefings with utmost thoroughness and professionalism, in strict accordance with CAE standards.
- Performing essential administrative duties, which include precise completion of training records, judicious recommendation of remedial training when necessary, and diligent maintenance of personal instructional qualifications and activity logs.
- Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the creation and refinement of curricula and courseware as required.
- After 1.5+ years of service, and contingent upon business needs, designated Instructors are expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this role:
- A minimum of 3,000 total flight hours.
- Hold an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching, coupled with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and various internet-based programs.
- Willingness to participate in CAE’s Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Current authorization to live and work permanently in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
Highly desired qualifications for this position include:
- Prior experience in Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 135 operations.
- Extensive experience flying business aircraft.

Physical Requirements
This role demands certain physical capabilities, including the ability to:
- Exhibit physical dexterity for tasks demanding precise hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Comfortably sit in a confined space for durations of 4-6 hours with limited breaks.
- Stand for extended periods, potentially up to 10 hours, with limited breaks.
- Perform movements such as sitting, stooping, climbing, twisting, and turning.
