Job Overview
CAE is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Instructor Passive Controller/Mission Simulator Operator to join our team in Geilenkirchen, Germany. This role is essential in providing comprehensive training to aircrew members on our advanced simulation systems.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the Simulator Training Devices and associated systems effectively and efficiently.
- Provide expert guidance to military instructors to maximize the capabilities of the simulators and achieve training objectives.
- Instruct students in checklist procedures, basic system knowledge, and simulator operations.
- Deliver comprehensive simulator scenario training for aircrew members across all training phases.
- Conduct theoretical and practical training, augmenting Customer Training Organization as required.
- Lead training and scenario development and review processes.
- Instruct students on basic system knowledge, normal and emergency procedures, and student instructor familiarization.
- Support the planning, guidance, and execution of simulated events, including distributed simulator trainings.
- Provide briefings and debriefings to trainees and manage scheduling activities.
- Maintain and update all required technical and operational publications and data provided by the customer.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of training programs.
- Conduct demonstrations during site visits.
- Collect, track, and analyze training data, including training events, student performance, and generic statistics.
- Provide support to the On-Site Manager as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and professional certification with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience in an international environment.
- Recent, in-depth understanding of Air Defence Operations and all aspects of Air Battle Management, including offensive and maritime operations, within an Air Surveillance and Control Unit (e.g., Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS), Joint Tactical Air Controller (JTAC), or CRC).
- At least 3 years of experience as a Passive Controller/Electronic Combat Officer on the E-3 or equivalent AEW&C platform.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an instructor in this position.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills across diverse customer groups.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and service-oriented approach.
- Fluency in English.
- Eligibility for NATO security clearance.
