Responsibilities

  • Deliver flight training in simulators and ground school, adhering to regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer specifications.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), guiding clients through their training programs.
  • Upon business need and after 1.5+ years of service, designated instructors are expected to qualify as Training Center Evaluators (TCE) and customer contract check airmen.
  • Provide instruction on assigned aircraft types for the issuance of licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
  • Conduct thorough and professional pre and post-flight simulator briefings in accordance with CAE standards.
  • Fulfill administrative duties, including maintaining training records, recommending remedial training, and tracking instructional qualifications and activity.
  • Contribute to the creation of curricula and courseware as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) when required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hold an unrestricted U.S. FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
  • Gulfstream G5 (G450/G550) type rating.
  • Gulfstream experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Part 135 experience/qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrate a passion for teaching with strong communication skills.
  • Possess basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs.
  • Must participate in CAE's DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
  • Experience flying business aircraft is advantageous.
  • Must be authorized to live and work in the United States.

Physical Requirements

  • Possess the physical dexterity required for tasks demanding hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
  • Ability to sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours at a time with limited breaks.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) with limited breaks.
  • Capability to sit, stoop, climb, and perform twisting and turning movements.
