Instructor Pilot Position at CAE

CAE seeks a highly skilled and dedicated Instructor Pilot to join its team. This role involves cultivating pilot confidence and proficiency through comprehensive training programs. Responsibilities include conducting simulator sessions, pre-flight briefings, and ensuring pilots are fully prepared for critical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training duties in accordance with the FSI job description.
  • Adhere to applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Recommend revisions to SOPs as appropriate.
  • Assist in the preparation of courseware and training materials, including theoretical examinations, to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor client and student progress, developing action plans for those requiring additional support.
  • Promote and support improvements to processes, documentation, courseware, and training materials utilized by the Approved Training Organization (ATO).
  • Participate in Progress, Academic & Disciplinary Review Boards, providing recommendations for remedial actions concerning training progress or trainee disciplinary matters.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Lead Instructor or Head of Training (HOT).

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on a multi-crew jet transport aircraft.
  • Possession of a valid Flight Instructor Rating, or an equivalent rating or certification.
  • Hold or have held an ICAO-recognized ATPL, CPL, or MPL with a minimum ICAO English level of 5.
  • Knowledge of civil aviation regulations governing civil aviation training.
  • Motivated and disciplined individual with initiative, capable of delivering results on time and motivating others in a remote working environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop strong working relationships internally and externally.
  • Proven leadership skills and a track record of effective work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Basic IT skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Flight Simulator Instructor / Type Rating Instructor.
  • Previous experience in Airline/ATO training.
