This critical role requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) dedicated to upholding the highest standards of flight safety, operational efficiency, and comprehensive crew standardization for the CH-47F Chinook rotary-wing platform.

Role Summary and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading advanced flight training programs, ensuring that all personnel meet stringent qualification and proficiency requirements. The Instructor Pilot functions as the primary authority in the standardization of flight procedures, emergency protocols, and doctrinal application for the CH-47F.

• Deliver comprehensive ground and flight instruction, encompassing both initial qualification and recurring proficiency training for CH-47F pilots.
• Develop and refine training syllabi, incorporating current operational directives, regulatory standards, and best practices in heavy-lift rotary-wing aviation.
• Conduct thorough evaluations, practical tests, and check rides to accurately assess and certify pilot competency and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Serve as a critical resource for mentorship, ensuring continuous professional development and robust aeronautical decision-making among flight crews.
• Maintain meticulous training records and ensure strict adherence to all governing flight regulations and organizational safety mandates.
