Instructor Pilot, Boeing 707 Fleet Operations


A distinguished global aviation service provider is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to fill the demanding role of 707 Instructor Pilot. This critical position is integral to maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence and safety within the organization’s specialized Boeing 707 fleet. The Instructor Pilot is responsible for the comprehensive training, mentorship, and evaluation of flight crew personnel, ensuring full compliance with international regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct initial type rating training, recurrent checks, transition training, and standardization courses for all assigned flight crew members utilizing the Boeing 707 aircraft.
  • Rigorously evaluate the knowledge, skills, and proficiency of pilots, documenting performance accurately and providing constructive, objective feedback.
  • Develop and refine specialized ground school instruction and flight simulator scenarios pertinent to the operational profile of the Boeing 707.
  • Maintain meticulous training records and coordinate closely with regulatory bodies to ensure all certifications and licensing requirements are met by the flight department.
  • Act as a senior mentor, promoting a proactive safety culture and reinforcing the organization’s commitment to superior flight deck discipline and resource management.
  • Contribute actively to the continual review and enhancement of the flight operations manual and training syllabus.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) from an internationally recognized civil aviation authority (e.g., FAA, EASA, CAA).
  • A current and unrestricted Type Rating for the Boeing 707 aircraft is mandatory.
  • Significant prior experience as an authorized Instructor Pilot, Check Airman, or Simulator Instructor is required, preferably on heavy jet aircraft.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and extensive logged flight hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on large, multi-engine jet transports.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and instructional abilities are essential for success in this influential training role.
  • A comprehensive understanding of advanced aircraft systems, aerodynamics, and aviation regulatory frameworks is paramount.
