The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) seeks an accomplished Airplane Pilot for its Aircraft Services organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves piloting multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to support critical power grid missions and transport key agency personnel throughout the region and internationally.
About the Role
As an Airplane Pilot with BPA Aircraft Services, incumbents will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or Second-in-Command (SIC) of commuter-category turbine aircraft. The position requires operating across the Pacific Northwest, other regions of the United States, and into Canada. Responsibilities include exercising flight authority, managing operational risk, evaluating weather and flight conditions, making critical go/no-go decisions, and collaborating with maintenance teams by providing precise operational write-ups and supporting aircraft servicing.
This role emphasizes advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration, utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles to ensure safety and flight discipline within a professional, dual-pilot environment.

Position is subject to an initial drug test prior to appointment and random drug or drug and alcohol testing thereafter.

A preliminary background check must be completed before commencing work.
Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

Minimum flight hour requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.
-
100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 hours in multi-engine airplanes with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual IMC.

75 flight hours of Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24 within one year of hire.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".

Position is subject to initial and random drug and alcohol testing.
