The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) seeks a skilled Airplane Pilot for its Aircraft Services organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves flying multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to support critical power grid missions and transport key agency personnel.
About the Role
The Airplane Pilot will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or Second-in-Command (SIC) operating commuter-category turbine aircraft. Responsibilities include transporting BPA leadership, engineers, and essential personnel safely across the Pacific Northwest, other U.S. regions, and into Canada. The pilot will exercise operational authority, manage flight risks, and collaborate with maintenance teams. This position emphasizes advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration and utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles in a dual-pilot environment.

Will be required to report in person to the official duty location.

Subject to an initial drug test prior to appointment and random drug/alcohol testing thereafter.

May be subject to periodic physical examinations.

A preliminary background check must be completed.
Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

Minimum flight hour requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.

100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 hours in multi-engine airplanes with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, with at least 10 hours in actual Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".
