The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking an experienced Airplane Pilot to join its Aircraft Services organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves flying multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to support critical power grid missions and transport agency personnel.
About the Role
The Airplane Pilot will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) for commuter-category turbine aircraft, facilitating safe and efficient transportation of BPA leadership, engineers, and essential personnel across the Pacific Northwest, other U.S. regions, and into Canada. Responsibilities include exercising flight authority, managing operational risk, evaluating weather and route efficiency, and making critical safety decisions. The role also emphasizes advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration using Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles and supporting aircraft maintenance through detailed operational write-ups and functional check flights.

Position is subject to an initial drug test and random drug or drug and alcohol testing thereafter.

Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

Minimum Flight Hour Requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.

100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 flight hours in multi-engine airplanes with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".

Must provide proof of meeting all flight hour requirements (e.g., copy of Log Book).
