Bonneville Power Administration | PC-24 Pilot

The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking an experienced Airplane Pilot to operate multi-engine turbine aircraft in support of critical power grid missions across the Pacific Northwest. This role offers an opportunity to join an elite aviation team and contribute to regional infrastructure reliability.

About the Role

The Airplane Pilot will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) flying multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to transport BPA leadership, engineers, and essential personnel. Operations will primarily cover the Pacific Northwest, extending to other regions of the United States and international borders into Canada. Key responsibilities include exercising flight authority, conducting operational risk management, collaborating effectively in a multi-crew cockpit environment utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles, and assisting aircraft maintenance teams with operational write-ups and functional check flights.

Requirements

• Must be a United States Citizen.
• Must abide by Selective Service registration requirements (for males).
• Must report in person to the official duty location.
• Subject to initial and random drug and alcohol testing.
• May be subject to periodic physical examinations if exposed to health hazards.
• Requires completion of a preliminary background check.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.
• Minimum flight hour requirements:
  • 1,500 total flight hours.
  • 100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.
  • 250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.
  • 500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 multi-engine airplane hours in aircraft with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.
  • 75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual IMC.
  • 75 flight hours Night time.
• Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.
• Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".

Candidates must provide copies of their current ATP, medical certificate, and sufficient documentation (e.g., logbook copies) to verify all stated requirements by the closing date.
