The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking a skilled Airplane Pilot to operate multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to support critical power grid missions across the Pacific Northwest. About the Role
The Airplane Pilot will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) operating commuter-category turbine aircraft. Responsibilities include transporting BPA leadership, engineers, and mission-essential personnel safely throughout the Pacific Northwest, other regions of the United States, and internationally into Canada. The pilot will exercise flight authority, manage operational risk, and make critical safety decisions. This position emphasizes advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration and requires close liaison with aircraft maintenance teams to ensure fleet reliability and airworthiness.

Qualifications

Possession of a FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating is mandatory (selective placement factor).

Minimum flight hour requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.
-
100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 flight hours in multi-engine airplanes with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, with at least 10 hours of actual IMC.

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".
