The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) seeks a skilled Airplane Pilot to join its Aircraft Services organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves flying multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to support critical power grid missions and transport agency personnel across the region.
About the Role
The Airplane Pilot will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC), operating commuter-category turbine aircraft for transporting BPA leadership, engineers, and essential personnel. Missions will cover the Pacific Northwest, other regions of the United States, and international destinations into Canada. The role requires exercising flight authority, managing operational risks by evaluating weather and aircraft systems, and making critical safety decisions. Pilots will collaborate with maintenance teams, providing operational write-ups and assisting with servicing tasks. This position operates under FAR Part 91 non-commercial regulations and adheres to an FAA-approved Aviation Implementation Plan (AIP).

Must report in person to the official duty location.

Subject to an initial drug test prior to appointment and random drug or drug and alcohol testing thereafter.

May be subject to periodic physical examinations.

Requires completion of a preliminary background check.
Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

Minimum 1,500 total flight hours.

Minimum 100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

Minimum 250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.

Minimum 500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 multi-engine airplane hours in aircraft with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

Minimum 75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

Minimum 75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".

Must provide a copy of the current ATP certificate, medical certificate, and logbook documentation to verify flight hour requirements.
