The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking an accomplished Airplane Pilot to join its Aircraft Services organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves flying multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to support critical power grid missions and transport agency personnel.
About the Role
As an Airplane Pilot with BPA Aircraft Services, the incumbent will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) operating commuter-category turbine aircraft. Duties include safely transporting BPA leadership, engineers, and mission-essential personnel throughout the Pacific Northwest, other regions of the United States, and internationally into Canada. The role requires exercising flight authority and operational risk management, evaluating conditions to make critical safety decisions, and collaborating effectively within a multi-crew cockpit environment utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles. The pilot will also support fleet reliability by working with maintenance teams, providing detailed operational write-ups, and conducting functional check flights.

Must abide by Selective Service registration requirements.

Position requires an initial drug test prior to appointment and random drug or drug and alcohol testing thereafter.

May be subject to periodic physical examinations if exposed to health hazards.

A preliminary background check must be completed before work begins.
Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

Minimum flight hour requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.

100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 flight hours in multi-engine airplanes with a maximum gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".
