The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) seeks an experienced Airplane Pilot to join its Aircraft Services organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves piloting multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to support critical power grid missions across the region.
About the Role
The Airplane Pilot will serve as a linchpin for regional infrastructure reliability by transporting key agency leaders and technical specialists throughout the Pacific Northwest, other regions of the United States, and into Canada. The pilot will act as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC), exercising operational authority, managing flight risks, and collaborating within a professional, dual-pilot crew environment utilizing advanced Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles. The role also involves collaborating with aircraft maintenance teams by providing precise operational write-ups and supporting fleet reliability.

Subject to an initial drug test prior to appointment and random drug or drug and alcohol testing thereafter.

A preliminary background check must be completed before work begins.
Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

A current FAA First Class Medical Certificate is required.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient."

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Minimum flight hour requirements include:

1,500 total flight hours.

100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 multi-engine airplane hours with max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual IMC.

75 flight hours Night time.

Candidates establishing eligibility based on military flight experience must provide official documentation.
